ABOUT TAMMY

tammy

Tammy graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a bachelors degree in Marketing. Her passion for fitness started in the Martial Posture karate studio in Philadelphia where as a student and teacher she earned her Brown Belt Degree.

Her love for pilates began in 2008, at Bodemotion in Phoenixville, PA where she completed her first comprehensive teaching program based off the Romana lineage. She continued her studies with the completion of the Ron Fletcher Program of Study in 2014. Tammy continues to expand her knowledge and understanding of the work through various workshops, conferences and weekly lessons. She is recognized as a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher through the PMA and a Fletcher Pilates® Qualified Teacher.

After an injury in 2018,  Tammy started working with an Egoscue therapist to correct postural deviations that were a contributing factor. Experiencing first hand how the method restored her body back to its designed posture and function, Tammy decided to pursue a certification in the Egoscue Method. In 2020 she received her Postural Alignment Specialist certified by Egoscue Institute and is currently progressing through the Level 2 E-cise Therapy Skills Certification. This method compliments pilates beautifully.  It bilaterally aligns the eight load bearing joints, which are the shoulders, hips, knees and ankles to create a fully functional musculoskeletal system.  This provides a perfect foundation in which to lengthen and strenghten wtih pilates.

Tammy truly believes that regular practice of Egoscue and pilates can transform all areas of one’s life. She hopes to help her clients develop a love for movement and an understanding of its’ many benefits.
